Terms used across the Oarkel site and docs.
Terms
- Anonymity set
- How many notes look equally likely to be yours. More is safer.
- Commitment
- Public hash of a note; reveals nothing about it.
- Exit
- Another word for unshroud: withdrawing value back to an ordinary address.
- Note
- Private balance entry inside the pool, readable only with the owner's keys.
- Nullifier
- Revealed on spending; blocks double spends without exposing the note.
- Relayer
- A service that submits your transaction and pays gas, paid from the note.
- Root
- Summary hash of every commitment so far; each proof names one.
- Shielded address
- What you share to receive private payments.
- Shroud
- Move public value in, receiving a note.
- Vault share
- Unit that shrouded $OARKEL is counted in; grows in value as fees arrive.
- Viewing key
- Lets its holder read your notes but not spend them.
